While it concerns the Aruban Resort(La Cabana) our proposed buyer Universal Mergers and Aquisitions has bought at least 350 weeks in this resort and has them for sale. We think it important that you read this article in the local newspaper(Aruba Today (tm) ) by a group of concerned members from this resort--not affiliated with our group. Their membership has gotten into a mess it appears and their letter should be read with an open eye as to what may happen. If we give a blank check by approving an unpublished contract presented by a board that only says "Trust your BOARD"--I am sure these La Cabana members didn't see this coming at them--we could end up in a similar predicament. We at www.ABCMEMBERS.NET understand that there are sharks out to devour us if we let down our guard. We do not need a third party in our Association--lets VOTE DOWN any attempt to dilute our ownership or any attempt to create a crack or path that could lead to the loss of our beautiful Aruba Beach Club paradise. We are a very strong and solvent club and DO NOT need to take ANY chances.
It is incredible that the Board intends to pursue a contract with Flak and Universal Mergers by stating they intend to put it on the agenda of the annual general meeting in April even though it appears most of the weeks will be purchased by membership.
The Board statement in the newsletter reads as if they intend to enter into a contract regardless of the number of weeks----that raises all kinds of concerns and warning bells in my opinion!
What is really going on here??
